The Autism Hub provides a central place to access information and resources developed by Giant Steps Australia through professional learning and online articles.
An initiative of Giant Steps Australia, The Autism Hub has been made possible through the skills, support and generosity of the staff.
Children with autism tend to be very literal and therefore the way we support their understanding needs to be reflected in concrete and literal language.
At Giant Steps we believe that sharing information and resources is fundamental to developing a shared understanding of best practice in education and therapy services supporting the learning of individuals with Autism.
We would like to extend our thanks to the many Giant Steps staff who have allowed their work to be shared for this purpose.
We would also like to thank Future Generation Australia for the seed funding to create The Training Hub. It would not be possible without their generous investment.
The Therapists in Disability and Schools Network is a professional special interest group for speech pathologists, occupational therapists, music therapists and psychologists. The group meets 3 times per year to discuss up-to-date information.
